The short version
JunoWe provides AI-generated educational pregnancy information and pregnancy-related tools. We collect information you provide, such as your questions, account details and optional pregnancy or health context, together with limited technical information needed to run and secure the service. When you use AI features, information needed to answer your request may be transmitted to our AI service provider, OpenAI, L.L.C. ("OpenAI"). We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not place your chat content, symptom descriptions, pregnancy details or other health-related information into advertising or marketing analytics systems.
Personal information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we collect information needed to create and manage it, such as your email address and account identifiers.
- Questions and messages. We collect the text and other information you choose to submit when you ask a question, use the AI chat or contact us.
- Technical information. We may collect standard device, browser, log, security and diagnostic information needed to operate, protect and troubleshoot the service.
- Analytics information. Where you consent to non-essential analytics, we may collect neutral usage events, such as whether a page or chat feature was opened. These analytics events are not intended to include your questions or health details.
Health and pregnancy information we collect
JunoWe may process health- or pregnancy-related information only when you choose to provide it or use a feature that requires it. Depending on how you use JunoWe, this may include:
- Pregnancy stage, pregnancy week or due date.
- Symptoms, concerns, experiences or health details you describe in a question or conversation.
- Other pregnancy or wellness context you voluntarily provide to personalize educational information.
Please provide only the information you are comfortable sharing and that is reasonably necessary for the feature you are using.
How we collect information
- Directly from you when you create an account, enter pregnancy information, ask questions, use JunoWe tools or contact us.
- Automatically when your browser or device sends limited technical, security and diagnostic information needed to provide the service.
- Through optional analytics when you consent to non-essential analytics or cookies.
Why we use information
- To provide, personalize and generate educational responses and pregnancy-related information requested by you.
- To maintain conversation history or account features when those features are enabled.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the service.
- To communicate with you about your account or requests.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms and protect the rights, safety and security of users, JunoWe and others.
AI processing and our AI provider
JunoWe uses OpenAI, L.L.C. (OpenAI) as an AI technology provider for AI-powered chat and educational response features.
When you use an AI feature, the information needed to process your request may be transmitted to OpenAI through its API. This may include the text of your question and relevant context you provided, including pregnancy or health information if it is part of your request. OpenAI processes this information to generate the requested AI output and to provide, maintain and secure its API services.
OpenAI states that, by default, data submitted through its API is not used to train or improve its models unless the API customer explicitly opts in to data sharing. OpenAI may maintain limited API inputs, outputs and related metadata for service operation, safety and abuse monitoring as described in its applicable API data controls and contractual terms.
JunoWe uses AI-generated information for educational support. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, emergency care or advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
What we do not do
- We do not send chat content, symptom descriptions, pregnancy stage, due dates or other health-related information to advertising platforms or marketing tools.
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
Analytics and cookies
With your consent, we use optional analytics that record neutral events, for example that a page or chat feature was opened, to understand how the service is used. Analytics events are not intended to contain your questions, symptom descriptions, pregnancy details or other health information. You can accept or reject non-essential analytics and change your choice at any time through the controls made available in the service.
Data retention and deletion
JunoWe retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account and conversation history where applicable, meet legal or security obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
You can request deletion of your conversation history or account. When information is deleted, we remove it from active systems as required by applicable law, subject to limited retention where we must keep information for legal, fraud-prevention, security or other legitimate compliance purposes.
For information transmitted through the OpenAI API, OpenAI’s current standard API data controls state that certain API inputs and outputs may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and service-security purposes, unless a different approved data retention configuration, endpoint-specific rule or legal requirement applies. Some OpenAI API features may retain application state for a different period depending on the feature used.
Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Request deletion of personal information, subject to applicable exceptions.
- Request a copy or export of certain personal information where applicable.
- Withdraw consent for optional analytics or other processing that relies on your consent.
To exercise an applicable privacy right, email us at privacy@junowe.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the basis where required by applicable law.
